Andrea Bigenho, LPC

Hi, I'm Andrea, owner and clinical director at Lucent counseling. It is my privilege to provide creative, effective, trauma informed clinical outpatient psychotherapy services for individuals and groups, and clinical supervision and mentorship for counselors-in training.

I have 25 years of experience in the field and a robust "toolbox" from which to draw. I specialize in treating complex relational trauma, PTSD, grief / loss, and individuals navigating big or sudden changes in life. I am often the therapist to which others refer folks who feel "stuck" “burned out” or "lost". I enjoy helping individuals and groups learn ways to build awareness, manage emotions, and feel safe in mind and body. My Interventions are chosen with respect to a client's values, culture, environment, neurobiology, and relationships.

I enjoy using nature, poetry and symbolism, music, art and various forms of creative expression as therapeutic tools; as appropriate.

I also have a post graduate certification in Psychedelic Harm Reduction Integration (PHRI); a therapeutic approach designed to facilitate integration of psychedelic or non-ordinary states. I have been professionally and personally interested in Psychedelic medicine research since the late 1990's. I strongly believe in the potential of psychedelic medicines to help us manage neuropsychiatric and physical disability, heal trauma, and recognize our interconnectedness.

It is my intention and honor to help provide you with tools, resources, and a non-judgmental, compassionate, trauma informed space to help you consciously direct your own innate healing energy. I aim to help you find your way through suffering, develop and foster healthy relationships, and become empowered to confidently face life’s challenges.
